STZ Automotive’s own SR20DET-powered TA22 Toyota Celica. This combination has a best ET of 11:20@121MPH and a high speed of 129MPH; and placed second in the forced induction class at Round 1 of the Project-Mu 2009 Time Attack Series.

Engine and Gearbox

SR20DET conversion by STZ Automotive. Race-prepped bottom end. STZ-ported head. Brian Crower cams and springs, titanium retainers, adjustable cam gears. Garrett GT2876 turbo, custom STZ exhaust manifold and dump pipe. GReddy inlet manifold, 80mm throttle body. Haltech E6X ECU. Custom STZ clutch. 410RWHP.

Chassis

Custom STZ-fabricated and ANDRA-log booked chrome moly roll cage.

Suspension and Brakes

S13 suspension and steering rack conversion by STZ Automotive. Nissan Skyline GTR front brakes. STZ Mazda B-series diff and disc brake conversion, custom torsion diff centre.

The STZ Automotive Outlaw Super Sedan was completed in January 2009 and, as of writing, has been raced in two meetings at Archerfield Speedway. It was built from the ground up by STZ Automotive and is piloted by STZ owner, Michal.

Engine and Gearbox

Methanol-powered Toyota 1J/2J combo. Race-prepped 2JZ bottom end. Accusump. Race-prepped and ported 1JZ cylinder head. JUN camshafts and springs, adjustable cam gears. Garrett GT35R turbo. STZ custom inlet and exhaust manifolds, intercooler and radiator. Haltech E11v2 ECU, 1600cc injectors, Magnafuel fuel pump. Supra gearbox and custom twin-plate clutch.

STZ race full chassis. Nissan 180SX body, fibreglass walk-off front and doors.

Suspension and Brakes

Afko coilovers with 5th arm torque link. Hilux rear end. Appleton quick steer power steering rack. Wilwood four spot calipers and 13″ discs front and rear. Pedal box and in-car adjustable brake bias.

This Datsun 1200 ute is a project in progress and uses custom STZ inlet and exhaust manifolds, and an STZ-supplied aluminium radiator and intercooler.
