STZ Automotive was established in 2001 and purchased by the current owners, Michal and Martin Horvath, in July 2007.

Our Mechanics

Martin (Marty) is a qualified mechanic with over 10 years experience including an 18-month stint with Legends UK where he prepared race cars from Ford Mustangs to Group C; and worked in the pits at circuits throughout England and Europe. Marty’s diverse experience is complemented by his technical knowledge. He has completed Optimum G’s Racecar Dynamics and Data Acquisition seminar, MoTeC’s ECU Installation and Training seminar and Haltech’s ECU Training seminar.

Paul is a qualified mechanic with many years experience in and around Brisbane. His thorough approach is demonstrated in his own car - a 525RWHP Skyline R33 GTS-T - and he is a regular participant at track days, drag racing and drifting.

The banner image on our home page was supplied by Tracksyde Photography, who shoot drag racing, drifting and time attack events across the USA. Tracksyde’s clients include DSPORT Magazine, Enkei Wheels and Hankook Tires.

The majority of our photos and video footage were taken by the STZ team. The remaining video footage was kindly donated by High Rotation. All of the videos on our web site can be found on the STZ Automotive YouTube channel.
